"At the end of the day, goddammit I'm killing this shit
I know damn well y'all feelin this shit." -- Kanye West; Power
Mr. West has some very assertive ways about him, nevertheless his confidence is nothing short of substantial. To some people Kanye is overly arrogant, to others his drive and will to succeed is astonishing. At the end of the day though, he is right we are feeling his shit, music, style whatever you wanna call it; but Kanye gets mad love. More important is his belief and assurance that his quality of work is at such a high level it would be asinine to not vibe to it. How can we relate this to our life you say? Be the best at whatever you do, not the best at everything but what YOU do; be your best. One area where we can all start is by being the best at breathing, develop a rhythmic awareness of your inhaling and exhaling. Whether its sports, academics, work, love, relationships, driving, anything you do make sure that effort is maximized. Shoot, and they say no one man should have all this power, but we do, we all do! Ladies I ain't forget you too

Thank me now!
Open your mind, embrace your heart, nourish your soul, and smile mang!
Thank me later, yeah I know what I said, but later doesn't always come so instead, you can thank me now!
--Aubrey Drizzy Drake Rogers.
So check this out, Drake has a CD called Thank Me Later. It's off the hook, a lot of cameos, good concepts, tight beats, dope lyrics, and homeboy is from the dot so it makes it even more unique and special. Although the CD is entitled Thank me Later, the final song on the CD is called Thank me Now. Thank me now, hmmmm, what an interesting concept.
I was talking to my brother yesterday, and he told me that we really have to learn to cherish and value our time here together on Earth as opposed to only embracing memories when we are at funerals. Don't get me wrong, showing emotion at funerals is more than acceptable. However the immense out poor of emotion at a funeral, should be at the very least rivaled by the emission of love we show to one another; while breathing is still an option. You know we always end up missing a motherfucker when they gone, meanwhile when they are alive and well we seem to be busy, preoccupied, or tired.
Yo, I am guilty of this as well. I have nine nieces and nephews, five siblings, I wish I could see them more often. Well scratch all that wishing mess, it's time for me to step up and swallow my own words. I will make more of an effort to see my family, my friends, even my friends who I don't kick it with that often. I know that we can all be good at justifying reasons for not doing something, which sometimes prevails as a good resource. I challenge you to do this, next time we contemplate whether we're gonna do something or see someone, lets envision it being our last opportunity . . . . . . . . . . . . Let that marinate in your head for a few . . . .
Shoot,
you
you
you
you
you can Thank me Now!!!!
Shoot,
you
you
you
you
you can Thank me Now!!!!
Thank me later, yeah I know what I said, but later doesn't always come so instead, you can thank me now!

They Say
Open your mind, embrace your heart, nourish your soul, and smile mang!
"they say life is what you make it" - -Common
I really vibe with that motto, life is what you make it. Some say that life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you deal with it. I agree. I'm not gonna be negligent to the fact that there are some unfortunate circumstances beyond our control; but we have the power to choose any objective we want. To me life is an amazing dream where I can coast with eagles, I can reach mountains, I am as free as leopard in motion, the comedy network lives in my cranium, my tomorrows never surpass my todays and my level of excitement is easily sustained. Life is what you make it for real, if you want to be a thug, dancer, doctor, player, lady, clown it's your prerogative. Take in the track, but furthermore open your mind. Do not limit yourself to the circumstances that present themselves to you, allow yourself to be presented to higher circumstances. Love thyself homies.

Stevie Wonder I Wish Lyrics
Looking back on when I
Was a little nappy headed boy
Then my only worry
Was for Christmas what would be my toy
Even though we sometimes
Would not get a thing
We were happy with the
Joy the day would bring
Sneaking out the back door
To hang out with those hoodlum friends of mine
Greeted at the back door
With boy thought I told you not to go outside
Tryin' your best to bring the
Water to your eyes
Thinkin' it might stop her
Grom woopin' your behind
I wish those days could come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to go
I wish those days could come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to go
Cause I love them so
Brother says he's tellin'
'Bout you playin' doctor with that girl
Just don't tell I'll give you
Anything you want in this whole wide world
Mama gives you money for Sunday school
You trade yours for candy after church is through
Smokin' cigarettes and writing something nasty on the wall (you nasty boy)
Teacher sends you to the principal's office down the wall
You grow up and learn that kinda thing ain't right
But while you were doin'it-it sure felt outta sight
I wish those days could come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to go
I wish those days could come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to go
On this classic track, Stevie Wonder is talking about some of the hard lessons he learned as a kid and how he misses those good old days. Ain't it funny how some of our most punitive and punishing moments in life end up being some of our fondest memories? I remember throwing toy cars in the toilet to see what they would do, well after I found out what they could do my Dad found out about my expedition. Let's just say after that moment my curiosity was much more selective lol. Sometimes we have to take ourselves back to those grimy and un fun times that presented challenges and turbulent times for us. If you are able to find time to read this blog however, you must be able to look back at several of those 'hard times' and laugh. Stevie took us back to his days and allowed us to get lost in his reminiscing. Now it's time for you to find solace in the past tense of previous troubles. " you grow up and learn that kind of thing ain't right, but while you were doing it- it sure felt outta sight" - Stevie Wonder

Brad and Angelina
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-c3wWA1F5zc"Tabloid Junkie"
Speculate to break the one you hate
Circulate the lie you confiscate
Assassinate and mutilate
As the hounding media in hysteria
Who's the next for you to resurrect
JFK exposed the CIA
Truth be told the grassy knoll
As the blackmail story in all your glory
It's slander
You say it's not a sword
But with your pen you torture men
You'd crucify the Lord
And you don't have to read it, read it
And you don't have to eat it, eat it
To buy it is to feed it, feed it
So why do we keep foolin' ourselves
Just because you read it in a magazine
Or see it on the TV screen
Don't make it factual
Though everybody wants to read all about it
Just because you read it in a magazine
Or see it on the TV screen
Don't make it factual, actual
They say he's homosexual
MICHAEL JACKSON- TABLOID JUNKIE
This is for all of us who find time to read the tabloids, stare for hours at CNN and believe the tales we see on Entertainment Tonight. "believe half of what you see, none of what you hear"- Jay Z. The media has an unstoppable means of exploiting what they perceive is the most alluring story to the public. After Michael Jackson, I don't think anyone has been victmized by the media worse than Brad and Angelina. Everyday those two are in a tabloid that is exposing the best or worst of them, for their sake lets give Brad and Angelina the benefit of the doubt. Not just them, but let us give people the benefit of the doubt. Rumors are only able to exist because we breathe life into them by believing in them. I urge you to look beyond the surface and go to the source of an issue. Too many ties have been torn because someone was too scared to ask the other person involved what the issue was, or too insecure to admit that they were vulnerable. If you have a problem deal with it, but don't believe everything you hear. Don't even believe what I write and you read; merely see the truth, because it is always present!

Eminem- Infinite
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtRbEgoTqQs
My thesis will smash a stereo to pieces
My accapella releases plastic masterpieces through telekinesis
And eases you mentally, gently, sentimentally, instrumentally
With entity, dementedly meant to be Infinite
Eminem really goes in on this song. I admire his rhyme scheme, his visual imagery, the way he infuses so much power into his lyrics. I mean dude is talking about easing us mentally, gentally, sentimentally....damn most of our spouses can't even do that lol. Eminem's imagination is infinite, along with our longevity, and our potential. We come from an infinite source, we return to an infinite source and within us is an infinite source; tap in to it.
I'm infinite!
